Leo passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015.

Leo was born August 27, 1955 in Dickinson, the son of Ronnie and Mary (Kirschenheiter) Hubert.  Growing up on the family farm south of Taylor, he attended school in Taylor and graduated in 1973.  Following school, he moved to Dickinson and began working at Modern Implement while continuing to help on the family farm.  Leo married Charlene Dutchuk on July 12, 1980 at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Lefor.  The couple made their home in Dickinson, where they were blessed with two daughters, Tosha and Chantel.  Leo worked for Pool Well Service and later for Fisher Industries for 17 years.  He then shifted back to the oilfield, working for Dakota Production and most recently for C & D Oilfield as a pumper.  Leo enjoyed softball and bowling where he competed in league to this day.  He was very proud of his huge garden, which gardening and canning kept him busy every summer.  He was also known for his wine making hobby and his talent of woodworking craftsmanship, where he found pleasure in remodeling.  He was a devoted Minnesota Vikings and Twins fan and he enjoyed playing cards and pinochle with family and friends. Leo was a member of the Eagles Club and Lefor Knights of Columbus.  Leo will be remembered for his sense of humor and his favorite saying “laughter is the best medicine.”

Leo is survived by his daughters, Tosha (Scott) Frank and Chantel (Mitch Keller) Hubert of Dickinson; sister, Carol (Ed) Cowan of Mansfield, OH; brothers, Ronald (Susie), Daniel (Pat) and Albert (Mary Lou) all of Mansfield, OH, Nelson (Mechelle) Hubert of Dickinson; numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene (2014); his parents, Ronnie and Mary; and infant daughter, Chelsie Hubert.
