Leona Huthmacher

Funeral Mass for Leona Huthmacher, 78, of Dickinson will be 10:00 a. m. , Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Father Charles Heidt celebrating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. , Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson with Rosary at 7:00 p. m. Leona passed away Friday, November 5, 2010 at St. Benedict?s Health Center, Dickinson. Leona M. Huthmacher was born May 24, 1932 in Bismarck, the daughter of John and Katherine (Wilhelm) Huthmacher. She lived with her parents in the Dickinson and Bismarck area before returning to Dickinson. She attended grade school at St. Joseph Catholic School and graduated from Dickinson High School. During this time, she began working as a clerk at Woolworth Department Store. She remained there for nearly 45 years. After retiring in 1993, she enjoyed spending her time going for walks and feeding the squirrels. She also enjoyed reading and made countless trips to the Dickinson Library. Leona enjoyed collecting chicken figurines and pictures. She always made time to visit with her friends on the phone. Leona went shopping every Wednesday with her friend, Nancy MosBrucker and was very fond of Nancy?s dog, Shezul. Leona is survived by special friends, Nancy and Joe MosBrucker and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by both of her parents.
