Leone V. Krank, 97, Dickinson, died Saturday, May 29, 2004, at St. Benedict?s Health Center, Dickinson. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a. m. Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Jim Bratten celebrating. Interment will be in St. Joseph?s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9 a. m. to 12:30 p. m. at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, from 1:00 to 1:30 p. m. at St. Benedict?s Health Center and from 2 p. m. to 9 p. m. at Price-Murphy Funeral Home. There will be a rosary and prayer service on Tuesday at 7:30 p. m. led by Deacon Gene Morman. Leone V. Hedge was born February 21, 1907, in Beresford, SD, the daughter of William J. and Nettie A. (Burwick) Hedge. The family moved to Daglum, North Dakota where they homesteaded. Leone was educated at Daglum and later attended Dickinson Normal School. She married John P. Krank on June 18, 1932, in Loveland, Colorado. They farmed south of Dickinson raising grain and Hereford cattle. Leone also was employed by Montgomery Ward Department store in the late 50?s, retiring in 1970. They retired from farming in 1976 and moved into Dickinson. John died August 20, 1996. Leone was a charter member of the Fancy Stitch Sewing Club and a charter member of the Queen City Garden Club. She enjoyed gardening, crafts and baking. Leone is survived by one daughter, Ethelrita Krank, Dickinson; one sister, Evelyn Harlan, Las Vegas; two brothers, Arthur Hedge, Post Falls, Idaho and Edward Hedge, Coeur d?Alene, Idaho; one brother-in-law, Joseph P. Krank, Mankato, Minnesota and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her husband, John on August 20, 1996; her parents; infant sister and four brothers, Ralph, Lowell, Maynard and Warren.
