Leroy P. Kilwein, 73, New England, died Friday, September 23, 2005, at Regions Hospital, St. Paul, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a. m. , Wednesday, September 28, 2005, at St. Mary?s Catholic Church, New England, with Fr. Basil Atwell OSB, celebrating. Interment will be in St. Mary?s Cemetery, New England. Visitation will be 9 a. m. to 9 p. m. , Tuesday, September 27, 2005, at Price-Murphy Funeral Home with a rosary at 7 p. m. Leroy P. Kilwein was born March 14, 1932, in Daglum, North Dakota to John and Magdalene (Braun) Kilwein. He spent his lifetime farming on the family farm near New England. He married Eleanor Schaff in Dickinson on June 3, 1953. He was an honorary fireman with the New England Fire Department. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, and playing cards with his friends. He is survived by: his wife, Eleanor, New England; nine children, Ray (Pam) Kilwein, Dickinson, Sandy (Bob) Barnes, New England, Patty Frank, New England, Tom (Lauren) Kilwein, Denver, CO, Leroy (Penny) Kilwein, Gillette, WY, Denise Kilwein, Topeka, KS, Brenda (Thiel) Harrier, Janesville, WI, Cheryle Urlacher (Kenny Urlacher), New England, Mark (Marcy) Kilwein, Lawrence, KS; eighteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Frank (Vivian) Kilwein, New England, three sisters, Berdine (Ralph) Flyberg, New England, Marcella (Melvin) Flyberg, Arlington, WA, and Mary Eva Pope, St. Anthony ID. He was preceded in death by: his parents, John and Magdalene Kilwein; two brothers, John and Joseph Kilwein, and two sisters, Pauline Roberson and Delores Rodrigues.
