My husband and I were very saddened to hear of Les' death. We met Les one summer day at the house he was rebuilding in Bismarck. We started a fun conversation in which he mentioned his wife Lisa. About a month later I was driving by the house, saw Lisa outside and asked "Are you the lady of the house?" She giggled about that and we became fast friends. Many hours were spent visiting with Les and Lisa, seeing how their skills and talents transformed their old house into a beautiful home. Les will be missed by so many. Our thoughts and prayers are with Lisa and her family.

Les was my first cousin on my mother’s side. I lived in Michigan and he always lived in California, so needless to say we were very distant cousins in miles and involvement. I visited Les and Lisa’s home once and was made very welcome and I hope he felt that way visiting Marquette. My sincere condolences to his family; I’m sure he will be sorely missed.
