Funeral services for Leslie Hinton, 64, of Baker will be at 11:00 a. m. , Friday, January 9, 2015 at American Lutheran Church with Pastor Bruce and Pastor Reba officiating. Burial will follow in Bonnievale Cemetery. Visitation for Leslie will be from 2:00 p. m. to 7:00 p. m. , Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Baker with a Family Receiving Friends being held from 5:00 to 7:00 p. m. Leslie passed away Friday, January 2, 2015 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Billings, MT. Leslie M. Hinton was born December 22, 1950, in Morton, TX, the daughter of Roy Davis and Ethel Marshall Davis. At an early age her father passed away, and her mother married Bud Conner. He raised her, becoming a big part of her life. She moved with her family to Vernal, Utah and then to Wyoming. She grew up and attended school in Riverton where she later graduated in 1969. Leslie married Dale Hinton on March 28, 1970 at Riverton, Wyoming. To this union was born Janaye, Leah, and Lacee. She and husband Dale, who was in the military, settled in Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas for a short time. In 1971 they moved to Riverton. Leslie was a stay at home mother along with operating a day care. In 1986 Dale’s work moved the family to Baker, Montana. Here, Leslie began her career in food service working at Frady’s, BJ’s, Sakalaris’ and later at FMC Dietary Department. After a short stint in Texas in 2006 with her husband, they returned to Baker in 2010 and again Leslie worked at the FMC until her health failed. Leslie belonged to the Progressive Women’s Club, serving as president in Riverton, Wyoming, and a women’s sorority in Baker. She enjoyed sewing, shopping, decorating, family gatherings, camping and spending time with her grandchildren. Leslie always enjoyed ceramics and crafts, often giving her creations to the family. Leslie was very social and always enjoyed getting out to spend time with family and friends. Leslie is survived by her husband, Dale; daughters, Janaye Danko of Gillette, WY, Leah (Dan) Hoenke of Dickinson, ND, and Lacee (Joe) Janz of Baker, MT; grandchildren, Lachen, Michaela, Keely, Conner, Madylin, Kylee, Jarek, and great-grandson Jase; sister, Charlene (Ted) Seely of Lander, WY; brothers, Garry (Kaye) Davis of Buckeye, AZ, Randy (Aimee) Conner of Gillette, WY, Greg (Diane) Conner of Gillette, WY; son-in-law, Shawn Danko of Gillette, WY; and special nephew Robert (LeAnne) Cantrell of Glendive, MT and special great nieces and nephews, Hailey, Keira, Mykah, and Eryck. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy Davis and Ethel Conner; step-father, Bud Conner; and brothers, Michael Conner, Allan Davis, and Brent Davis.
