Funeral Services for Lillie E. Lengowski, 92, of Dickinson will be 1:00 p. m. , Saturday, May 15, 2010, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Lisa Lewton officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Dickinson. Visitation will be Friday, May 14, 2010, from 12:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p. m. at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson. Visitation will continue Saturday, May 15, 2010, for one hour prior to the service at the church. Lillie passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 8, 2010, at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center in Dickinson. Lillie was born on June 30, 1917, in New Leipzig, ND, to Henry and Louise (Shultz) Kautz. She attended elementary school in New Leipzig, and moved with her family to Elgin, ND, where she graduated from Elgin High School in 1935. Lillie worked at Economy Drug of Elgin from 1935 to 1939, followed by two years of business school in Wahpeton, ND, at the ND State College of Science. Lillie then worked for Dakota Public Service in Bismarck (now MDU) from 1940 to 1943, and for Dickinson Bottling Works (now Coca-Cola) from 1943 to 1945. Lillie married Albert Lengowski on February 3, 1945, at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church in Dickinson, ND. Together, they raised three children, Thomas, Robert, and Kristin. Lillie returned to work in 1970 with First National Bank in Dickinson, where she worked for 15 years until her retirement in 1985. Lillie is survived by one son, Thomas (Karen) Lengowski, Mandan, ND; three sisters, Della (Kenneth) Kuhn, Ruby (Cliff) Faw, and Joanne (Mac) Slade, all of Billings, MT; one brother, Glenn (Jeannette) Kautz, Missoula, MT; one son-in-law, Enrique Lopez-Claros, Chapel Hill, NC; seven grandchildren, Laura (David) Olson, Durham, NC, James Lengowski, St. Paul, MN, Jean Lengowski, Mandan, ND, Robert Lopez-Lengowski, Sonya Lopez-Lengowski, David Lopez-Lengowski, and Kara Lopez-Lengowski, all of Chapel Hill, NC; and two great-granddaughters. She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert; her parents; one son, Robert; one daughter, Kristin; and two brothers, Alvern (Marsha) Kautz and Paul (Bernice) Kautz.
