Funeral Services for Linda Enger, 55 of Dickinson will be 10:30 a. m. Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at St. John?s Lutheran Church in Dickinson with Rev. Steven Tangen and Rev. Patricia Higgins officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Dickinson Mausoleum. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 24, 2005 from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel. Linda passed away Saturday, May 21, 2005 at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center in Dickinson. Linda was born January 23, 1950 at Dickinson, the daughter of George and Louise (Martin) Kirschenheiter. She grew up and attended Lefor Grade School and High School, graduating in 1968. She attended the Bernel Hair Styling College in Bismarck for a year. Linda was married to Kenneth Enger July 25, 1973 at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Dickinson. They made their home in Dickinson where they have lived since. To this union a son, Justin was born. Linda worked from 1969 to 1975 as a hair stylist in Dickinson. She began working as a dietary aid at St. Benedict?s Health Center and continued there for the next 28 years. She retired in 2005 because of her health. Linda and Ken continued to make Dickinson their home. She enjoyed crocheting, cross stitching, embroidery, hardanger, quilting and cake decorating. Linda received awards for hardanger designs which were published. She was a member of Quilters on the Prairie, Badlands Quilters Guild and taught hardanger for the Sons of Norway. Her special love was for her son, husband and her quilt studio. She was always known as everybody?s favorite aunt whether they were related or not. Survivors include her husband, Ken of Dickinson; a son, Justin Enger of Dickinson; four brothers: Eugene (Lynette) Kirschenheiter of Missoula, MT, Arnold (Terry) Kirschenheiter of Missoula, MT, Patrick (Annette) Kirschenheiter of Bismarck and Jerome (Patsy) Kirschenheiter of Missoula, MT; three sisters: Margarite (Roger) Jesch of Regent, Fay (Howard) Schiwal of Dickinson and Rose (Cory) Jahner of Dickinson; a step-brother, Edwin ?Sonny? (Gwen) Egly of Belfield; a step-sister, Evelyn ?Tweety? Wariner of Dickinson; and her mother-in-law, Stazie Peterson of Cocoa Beach, FLShe was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Helen Egly Kirschenheiter and father-in-law, Edwin Enger.
