Linda passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, August 17, 2024 in her home.

Linda Rae Zins was born on November 23, 1951 in Dickinson, North Dakota to William G. and Beatrice (Polensky) Kubischta. She took great pride in the fact that she grew up on the family farm with her siblings. Linda started at country school and switched to Killdeer public school. She later moved to Grand Forks.

In Grand Forks, Linda met Aloysious Zins. She married Al on October 16, 1976 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Al was the love of her life, and he adored her.

Linda was an avid learner, and she enjoyed her time spent at the adult learning center. She was fiercely loyal to her friends, and loved baking and going shopping with them. She never turned down a hot latte. She enjoyed sports, participating in the Special Olympics and watching football, especially Tom Brady.

She took great pride in her family, always taking the initiative to plan their family gatherings. She was especially close to her parents and cherished their relationship. Linda adopted a whole additional family of people who loved her at ABLE Inc., where she received services.

Linda was extremely prayerful and had a strong relationship with God. Going to church and receiving communion was very important to her.

Linda is survived by her siblings, Cynthia Dvorak (David Heidt), Bill (Donna) Kubischta Jr., Patti (Paul) Pachl, Bob (Mary) Kubischta, Karen Zastoupil (Mike), Dennis (Reyne) Kubischta, and Susan (Bruce) Stroh; her ABLE family; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Al; parents, William and Beatrice; and brother-in-law, Richard Dvorak.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Linda’s memory to ABLE, Inc. or offered for a Mass at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
