Funeral Service for Lois I. Collie, 78 of Ismay, MT will be 11:00 a. m. Saturday, December 15, 2007 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker, MT. Burial will follow at Bonnievale Cemetery in Baker, MTVisitation will take place from 10:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. Friday, December 14, 2007 at Stevenson Funeral Home with a prayer service taking place at 7:00 p. m. Lois passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at Holy Rosary Health Care in Miles City, MT due to complications from a stroke. Lois I. Collie was born June 25, 1929 at Baker, MT, the daughter of Calvin and Adah (Jones) Bucklin. She grew up and attended Milk Creek School near her home through the eighth grade. She attended high school in Baker, graduating from Baker High School in 1947. On April 17, 1949 she married her high school sweetheart Alex Collie, at the Community Church in Baker. The couple made their home on the Collie Ranch near Ismay. In 1951 they purchased the ranch and have lived there ever sinceIn August of 1952, Lois contracted polio which left her in a wheelchair the rest of her life. On December 19, 1952 her only child, Alex Jr. was born. Lois? greatest love was for her husband and son. She could always be found with them and helping in any way that she could. She was also very fond of and had a special lover for any kind of animal. Over the years she had, at one time or the other, about every kind of tame or wild animal, in her house taking care of it. Her favorite were cats. Lois always had a cat by her side or on her lap. Lois was an accomplished seamstress and made all her own dresses as well as shirts for the men in her life. She was a wonderful cook and put many delicious meals on the table for her family, friends and hunters. She is survived by her husband Alex Sr. ; son, Alex Collie Jr. of Ismay, MT; two brothers, Oliver (Betty) Bucklin of Great Falls, MT; Roy (Ann) Bucklin of Wyoming; a sister, Jesse (Raymond) Fost of Willard, MT;Lois was preceded by both of her parents.
