Funeral Services for Lorena Kirschemann, 78, of Dickinson formerly of Regent, ND will be 10:00 a. m. , Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Evangelical Bible Church with Pastor Tim Privratsky officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 p. m. , Tuesday at the Regent Cemetery in Regent, ND. Visitation will be from 11:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. Monday, at Stevenson Funeral Home continuing on Tuesday one hour prior to the service at Evangelical Bible Church. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 p. m. Monday, August 23, 2010 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson. Lorena passed away on Friday, August 20, 2010, at her home in Dickinson. Lorena, or Rena as most of her friends and family knew her by, was born on October 11, 1931, the daughter of Asaph and Bertha (Luithle) Dohn on the farm north of Mott, North Dakota. She grew up and attended country school and then Mott High School. As a young girl she enjoyed working at White City Mercantile. Rena was married to Harold E. Kirschemann on October 10, 1948 in Mott, ND. They lived on his parent?s farm until the spring of 1949, when they moved into Regent. She enjoyed working at the Coop Store selling Avon and Stanley products. To this union three children were born: Leon, Linette, and Cindy. Together Rena and Harold raised their children and farmed for the next fifty years. She always worked with her husband on the farm along with raising a large garden for her family. Rena taught Sunday school at the Nazarene Church in Regent for 40 years. In her later years she enjoyed crafts which she took to craft shows. Rena quilted, crocheted and was well known for her kuchen. She volunteered many hours to the St. Joseph?s Hospital Gift Shop and the Arcaid Store in Dickinson. In 2006, Rena moved into Dickinson where she has made her home since. Since living in Dickinson she had attended the Evangelical Bible Church with Pastor Tim Privratsky. Rena?s family was her greatest joy along with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Leon (Cynthia) Kirschemann, Regent, ND, Linette (Dan) Harman, Bismarck, ND and Cindy (Charles) Dreifus, Spokane, WA; five grandchildren, Terry (Melissa) Kirschemann, Regent, ND, Jayne (Morgan) Kouba, Regent, ND, Gail (Troy) Brown, Laurel, MT, Korey Huenink, Spokane, WA and Katie Dreifus, Phoenix, AZ; nine great-grandchildren, Breeanna, Kennedy, Tanner, Zachary, Harrison, Devin, Megan, Madison and Theodore; two sisters, Darlene (Tom) Kautzman, Mandan, ND and, Glen Nora (Richard) Jung, Junction City, KS and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold, and a brother, Milton Dohn.
