Lorene Buerkle

Lorene Christine (Freier) Buerkle, 79 of Plevna passed away in the Wibaux County Nursing Home, on December 19, 2004. She was born the daughter Emanuel & Caroline (Wenz) Freier on September 6, 1925 south of Plevna. In 1927 the family moved west of Westmore, where Lorene went to the Westmore School for five years. Then the family moved five miles east of Plevna, there she went to Tonquin School for the remaining three years where she graduated from the 8th grade. She was employed at various places. On September 25, 1947 she was united in marriage to John Buerkle in Plevna. To this union five sons were born, Lorin, Dale, Vernon, Sharold and Kevin for whom she prayed for many times. They lived their 57 years of marriage north of Plevna where she resided until she was admitted to the nursing home in Wibaux on April 1, 2004. Lorene was a Sunday School Teacher for many years and a member of The First Baptist Church until the time of her death. She committed her life to the Lord at an early age and was faithful to serve Him until death. She had the privilege of attending six of her grandchildren?s weddings. Lorene dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and they will miss her very much. Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years John, 5 sons and their wives; Lorin and Carol Buerkle of Baker, Dale and Sharon Buerkle of Plevna, Vernon and Patsy Buerkle of Glasgow, Sharold and Melody Buerkle of Belgrade and Kevin and Darcey Buerkle of Havre. Her 12 grandchildren; Jodi & Bill Miller, Ryan Buerkle, Josh & Darcy Buerkle, Darin & Nicole Buerkle, Scot and Nikki Buerkle, Dana Buerkle, Stephanie Buerkle, Sharona & Shane Gilbert, Matthew & Alicia Buerkle, Christa & Jake Alford, Michael Buerkle, Teresa Buerkle; 7 great-grandchildren; Morgan & Mariah Miller, Dacy Buerkle, Dylan Buerkle, Trinity Buerkle, Dean Alford and Jenavieve Stripland; 3 sisters, Edna Atkinson of Fallon, MT, Helen and Maurice Allerdings of Plevna, Agnes and Russell Wiseman of Grand Junction, CO. ; 3 sister-in-laws Betty Buerkle and Norma Buerkle of Plevna, Idella Holm of Big Timber, MT and 1 brother-in-law Bill Buerkle of Phoenix, AZ;. numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Ervin and Edmund, one great-grandchild.
