Loretta Scheeler

Liturgy of the Word for Loretta Scheeler 61, of Dickinson, will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Stevenson Funeral Home. Burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Loretta passed away Friday, November 11, 2022 at her home in Dickinson.

Loretta Mae was born on July 16, 1961 in Dickinson, the daughter of Edward C. and Joyce (Demaniow) Scheeler. She grew up with two brothers, Wayne and Doug, and one sister, Linda. Loretta was a 1979 graduate of Dickinson High School. She went to work in the hotel industry, working for several hotel chains in town which included the Ramada and Holiday Inn. During the mid to late 1980’s, she moved to Apache Junction, AZ, Ogden, UT, and then purchased a home in Clearfield, UT. Loretta held the positions of Financial Controller and General Manager while working for The Ben Lowman Hotel, Comfort Inn, and Marriot. She loved dogs all of her life. She didn’t have any children but her dogs, Lady, Blue, Buck and Bella, filled her life with happiness and special memories. Bella was her baby!  Loretta enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing. She dearly missed her sister, Linda, who passed away only a short time ago.

Loretta is survived by her mother, Joyce Scheeler; brothers, Wayne Scheeler, Doug (Michelle) Scheeler both of Dickinson; brother-in-law, David Dolynuik; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Scheeler; sister, Linda Dolynuik; and sister-in-law Michele Scheeler.
