Lori Beaudoin

A Memorial service for Lori Beaudoin, 56, of Laguna Niguel, CA, formerly of Dickinson, will be 10:30 am, Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Stevenson Funeral Home with Deacon Ron Keller officiating.  Cremation has taken place and inurnment will follow in St. Patrick’s cemetery.


Visitation will be 8:30 – 10:30 am, on Thursday prior to the service, with a rosary/vigil being led at 10:00 am.


Lori Mae was born May 12, 1961 in Dickinson, the daughter of Lester and Eleanor    Beaudoin.  Lori fought a very long and hard battle with Muscular Dystrophy and was finally blessed to walk with Jesus on February 11, 2018.  She passed away in Laguna Niguel, CA and is now joining her parents, Lester and Eleanor who preceded her in their earthly death.  Growing up, Lori attended Roosevelt Elementary and the Anne Carlson Center for children, where she also graduated from before returning to Dickinson to be closer to family.  In 1969, Lori was the State Poster Child for Muscular Dystrophy.  Lori later made her home in Grafton and Minneapolis before moving to Laguna Niguel, CA.  Many who were blessed to know and spend time with Lori, truly learned what it meant to live and give.  Lori’s dog, Toby, brought her many smiles and also to all the people who took care of her throughout her life.  Lori loved being outdoors, sitting in the sun, and entertaining guests.  She especially loved to dance to Rock-n-Roll.  As a past member of Queen of Peace Church, we know Lori loved Jesus and that she is no longer struggling.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  Thank you Lori for showing us how to live life.  You were an inspiration to so many, a walking angel on this earth and now an angel in heaven.  Over the years Lori was blessed to have received wonderful care from ABLE, Easter Seals, Provident Home Health Care and many numerous Health Care Providers 24 hours a day.  A heart-warming ‘thank you’ to all who touched her life.


Lori is survived by her five brothers, Dave and Larry of Dickinson, Roger (Patti) of Grand Junction, CO, Mark (Sandra) of Boise, ID, Dale (Sharon) of Dickinson; nine sisters, Carol (Bob) Ward of Red Bluff, CA, Linda Klemm of Laguna Woods, CA, Gloria (Frank) Conlon of Lakeville, MN, Donna Bline of Dickinson, Jane Ogden of Citrus Heights, CA, Denae (Gary) McGregor of North Bend, WA, Brenda Frank of El Cajon, CA, Evon (Doug) Braun of Dickinson, Lynn (Keith) Morey of Laguna Niguel, CA; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Eleanor Beaudoin; grandparents; and many aunts and uncles.
