A Funeral Service for Lorine Schneider, 84, of Mandan, formerly of Hebron, will be 10:30 a. m. , CST, Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at First Congregational UCC Church, Hebron with Pastor Marcy Dawson officiating. Burial will follow at First Congregational Cemetery. Visitation for Lorine will be from 4:00 p. m. to 7:00 p. m. , CST, Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Spangelo-Stevenson Funeral Home, Hebron with a Prayer Service being held at 6:00 p. m. , CST. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at First Congregational UCC Church. Lorine passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND. Lorine Kessler was born August 29, 1931 on the family farmstead in Mercer County, the daughter of John and Anna (Lapp) Kessler. She grew up and attended country school north of Glen Ullin. Later, she worked at a sweet shop and hospital in Bismarck until 1953. On November 19, 1953, Lorine and Richard Schneider were united in marriage at New Glueckstal, north of Glen Ullin. To this union two daughters were born: LaVonne and Candace. Together, they raised their family on a farm 12 miles south of Hebron. In 1979, they moved into Hebron where they made their home. Lorine worked as a cook for the Senior Citizens in Hebron for eight years. After Richard passed away, she moved to Park Ave Villa in Dickinson for a short time before moving to Edgewood Apartment and Edgewood Vista in Bismarck because of declining health. Lorine loved to cook and bake. In her younger years, she enjoyed baking and cooking for her family. She especially loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild and was looking forward to her second great-great-grandchild to be born. Lorine enjoyed having her photo taken and watching the Bachelor and Bachelorette on television Monday nights. Lorine is survived by her daughters, LaVonne (Pat) Schwartzenberger of Mandan, and Candace (Steve) Wolff of Dickinson; grandchildren, Cora (Rob) Rabenberg of Mandan, Lisa (Vince Weltz) Schwartzenberger of Bismarck, and Jessie (Trent) Sickler of Dickinson; great-granchildren, Jade, Styrling, Cruz, Reece, Ava, Mya, and Jaxon; great-great-grandchild, Greyson and a sibling on the way; brother, Calvin (Jeanette) Kessler of Beulah; brother-in-law, Allen Miller of Beulah; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna Kessler; husband, Richard Schneider; sisters, Janet Miller and Delores Remmick; and brother-in-law, Melvin Remmick.
