Lorna Carow

Private family services for Lorna Carow, 98, of Dickinson will be held at a later day. In accordance with Lorna’s wishes cremation has taken place.


Lorna passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 at St. Benedict’s Health Center.


Lorna was born April 15, 1919, in Edgeley ND, the daughter of John and Florence (Withnell) Carlson. Growing up she attended school, graduating from Edgeley High School. Following graduation, she met Floyd Carow and the couple were married on September 30, 1945 in Edgeley. They moved to Hannover where they worked for Land O’ Lakes Creamery. Floyd and Lorna were blessed with four children: Larry, Jerome, Janel and Dan. In 1980, the couple moved to Dickinson where Lorna worked as a bank teller until she retired.


Lorna is survived by her children, Larry Carow of Lipan, TX, Jerome “Jack” Carow of Dickinson, Janel Carow of Dickinson, Dan Carow of Hollywood, MD; eight grandchildren; sister, June Hartwig of Fargo, ND and Doreen Lende of Irvine, CA, sister-in-law, Donna Mae Carlson of Edgeley, ND.


She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Florence Carlson; husband, Floyd Carow; siblings, Carol Bartle and Bryl Bud.
