Funeral Service for Lorraine Weisenburger, 82, of Glen Ullin, will be held at 11:00 a. m. CST Monday, September 28, 2009 at Zion Lutheran Church, Glen Ullin, with Rev. Toby Heller officiating. Burial will take place at 3:00 p. m. CST at the North Dakota Veteran?s Cemetery in Mandan, ND. Visitation will take place from 3-5:00 p. m. CST Sunday, September 27, 2009 at the Spangelo-Stevenson Funeral Home, Glen Ullin. Lorraine was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at the Marion Manor Healthcare Center, Glen Ullin. Lorraine Katherine (Frank) Weisenburger was born May 1, 1927 and grew up on the family farm north of Dodge, ND. On November 23, 1947 Lorraine married Albert Weisenburger at St. Paul?s Lutheran Church north of Dodge. In 1948, Albert and Lorraine moved to Glen Ullin where they purchased Al?s Barber Shop. The couple made their home there for over 60 years and raised their family of three children. Lorraine was active in her community and was employed at Marion Manor Healthcare Center as a Medical Secretary for 33 years. She retired April 4, 2002. She served as a Sunday school teacher, President and Secretary of the Lutheran Womens Missionary League, President and Secretary of the American Legion Auxiliary, and City Treasurer of Glen Ullin from 1972-1979. She enjoyed visits to her children and grandchildren, having coffee with her friends, as well as crocheting afghans for her three children and 8 grandchildren. Lorraine is survived by her three children, Dr. Dennis (Gwen) Weisenburger of Omaha, NE; their sons, Joel, Joshua (Katy) and Daniel; Ardis (Charles) Schultz of Camarillo, CA; their children, Kristen Schultz and Laurie (Mathew) Vos; Robert Weisenburger of San Francisco, CA; his children, Zachary, Nicholas and Madeline; siblings, Richard Frank, Hilda Mohl, Erna (Les) Haring, and Edna (Ellyn) Gartner, all of Bismarck, ND. She was preceded by both of her parents, husband Albert of 57 years, and two brothers, Ervin and Otto Frank. The Weisenburger family suggests memorials to the Marion Manor Healthcare Center.
