Louie Binstock

Louie J. Binstock, 83, Dickinson, died Saturday, September 23, 2006, at St. Luke?s Home, Dickinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p. m. Monday, September 25, 2006, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Jeff Zwack celebrating. Interment will be in St. Joseph?s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be Sunday from noon to 9 p. m. with a rosary and prayer service at 7 p. m. led by Fr. Jeff Zwack. Louie J. Binstock was born April 17, 1923, to Joseph and Regina (Roller) Binstock. He was raised on the family farm near Schefield, ND. He attended St. Pius School. He married Barbara Froehlich on October 16, 1945 at Gaylord Church. They farmed near Gaylord for several years, then bought a farm 10 miles south east of Dickinson that is currently farmed by their son. They retired in 1989 and moved into Dickinson. Louie was a member of the German Hungarian Lodge, St. Pius Verein, St. Anthony, and the Knights of Columbus. He belonged to St. Joseph Catholic Church where he was an usher. He enjoyed playing pool, fishing, and playing cards but raising cattle was his passion. He is survived by: his wife, Barbara, Dickinson; children, Linda (Gordon) Pavlicek, Dickinson, Larry (Jacque Stuart), Laurel, Montana, Randy, Williston, Curtis, Bismarck, Eileen Rowe, Dickinson, Myron, Dickinson, LouAnn Chapman, Salt Lake City, Utah, Rodney (Rhonda Dassinger), Dickinson, and Michele, Kalispell, Montana; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Martha Jahner, Dickinson, and Albina Powers, Irving, Texas. He was preceded in death by: his parents, four brothers, Henry, Joseph, Peter, and Paul and five sisters, Theresa (in infancy), Emma Schoch, Pauline Friedt, Margaret Decker and Catherine Frank.
