Louis Kroh

Louis Kroh, 79, of Glen Ullin, died Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at the Marian Manor Healthcare Center in Glen Ullin. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Central Time on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at the Evangelical Congregational Church in Glen Ullin with the Rev. Chris Walstad, officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8 PM at Spangelo Funeral Home in Glen Ullin where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM. Burial will be in the Assembly of God section of the Glen Ullin Cemetery. Louis was born April 7, 1929 in the Bluegrass area rural Glen Ullin, the son of Alvin and Berth (Mindt) Kroh. He was raised on the farm and educated in the country school. He married Dorothy Roth January 26, 1957 at Glen Ullin. Following marriage they lived in Bismarck where Louis worked as a carpenter. In the fall of 1957 they took over the Kroh farmstead. They raised their five children on the farm while having dairy and range cows, and small grains. In 1978 they retired and moved into Glen Ullin. Louis drove school bus for Wm. Steckler for many years, and enjoyed his hobby of collecting miniature cars. Grateful for having shared in his life are his wife of 51 years, Dorothy, Glen Ullin; four sons and daughters-in-law: Lindell and Tammy, Glen Ullin, Ricky and Dianne, Glen Ullin, Dwight and Tracey, Mandan, Randy and Bonnie, Bismarck, and one daughter and son-in-law: Crystal and Jim Bahr, Glen Ullin, ND; six grandchildren and 5 step grandchildren, and two great grandchildren and four step great grand children. He also leaves two sisters: Rose Voegele, Riverdale, UT and Betty Aaker, Hudson, WI and two brothers Albert Kroh, Mandan, and Erv Kroh, Bismarck. He was preceded in death by his parent?s one brother Melvin and a niece.
