Louise passed away comfortably on January 1, 2016 in the special care unit of Naeve Hospital in Albert Lea, MN. Louise was cremated in Forest City at the time of her passing. It was her wish to be brought back home (Belfield) for final services. Louise Ann Anderson was born on March 10, 1957 in Dickinson, ND to Frank and Eloise (JoAnn) Schaff. Louise grew up in Belfield, attending school, fishing with her parents and 7 brothers and in her teenage years, singing and playing guitar with her father. She loved the Badlands. Louise spent many days fishing along the Little Missouri and driving through the back country. She also enjoyed spending time with her aunts, uncles and cousins. After high school, Louise met and married Dan Carpenter. They traveled to and from Idaho and Arizona, fishing, hunting and trapping. They lived in many places, making their living in the outdoors. They eventually settled in Plummer, MN for some time. They later parted ways but two of Louise’s greatest joys came of this marriage – her sons, Blaine & Jason Carpenter. Louise moved to Forest City, IA in February of 2000 where she was employed at Winnebago Industries. During that time she met Scott Anderson, fell in love and married him in October of 2001. Louise was diagnosed with COPD in 2003 but continued to work until 2007. When she could no longer work, she kept busy at home. She loved her garden and did a lot of canning. Louise always enjoyed fishing, spending time with her sons, Blaine & Jason, daughter-in-law, Callie and her very special grandchildren, Brynn and Bodie. She will be eternally missed and always loved. Louise was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Roy, Mike, Dale and Tommy Schaff; sister-in-law, Terri Schaff and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her husband, Scott of Forest City, IA; sons, Blaine Carpenter and Jason & Callie Carpenter and her very special grandchildren, Brynn and Bodie Carpenter, all of Fargo, ND; stepsons, Chad, Wyatt, Toni and Jenna Anderson of Tualatin, OR, Corey, Holly, Walter and Felix Anderson of Denison, TX and Casey, Katie and Wes Anderson of Milwaukie, OR; brothers, Frank (Paulette) Schaff of Belfield, ND, Adam Schaff of Englewood, CO and Edward Schaff of Forest City, IA; sister-in-law, Kathleen Schaff of Belfield, ND; father-in-law, Gary (Lucy) Anderson, Forest City, IA; brothers-in-law, David Anderson of Sioux City, SD and Gary Anderson of Stanley, NC; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
