Funeral Mass for Louise ?Liz? Rotering, 78, of New England formerly of Amidon, ND will be 9:00 a. m. , Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in New England with Father Charles Heidt officiating. Burial will be at 3 p. m. CDT, at the North Dakota Veteran?s Cemetery in Mandan. Visitation will be 9 am to 4 pm Tuesday, April 1, at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson continuing from 5 pm to 9 pm on Tuesday at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in New England followed by a Rosary and Vigil Service at 7:00 p. m. at the church. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the Funeral Mass of Wednesday at the church. Liz passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2008, West River Regional Health Center in Hettinger, ND. Louise M. Oldenburg was born on January 27, 1930 the daughter of Robert and Louise (Bohlman) Oldenburg in New England. She grew up and attended school there, graduating from New England High School. Liz, as most of her friends and family called her began working at Walch Equipment in New England as a bookkeeper. Liz was married to Alvin Rotering November 22, 1958, at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in New England. Together they farmed northeast of Amidon, ND until retiring in 2006. They moved into New England where they have made their home since. Liz enjoyed gardening, helping Al on the farm as well as doing his typing for the American Legion Post. She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Sts. Peter and Paul Ladies Guild of Amidon and the Get Together Homemaker?s Club of Amidon. Liz donated and helped every year with the Slope County Fair activities, also with the plays and skits they put on. Survivors include: her husband, Alvin, New England, ND; a brother, Robert (Lena) Oldenburg, Lewistown, MT; a brother-in-law and his wife, Arnold (Vivian) Rotering, New England, ND and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Donald and her twin, Louis Oldenburg and a sister, Eleanor Olson.
