Funeral Service for Lucas Miles Meschke, 21, of Baker, MT will be at 11:00 A. M. on Friday, September 24, 2010, at the American Lutheran Church in Baker with Pastors Bruce & Reba Kolasch officiating. Interment will follow in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery at Plevna, MT. Visitation will be 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. on Thursday, September 23rd, at Stevenson Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p. m. Lucas passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at his home in Baker. Lucas Miles Meschke was born on October 26, 1988, at St. Luke's Hospital in Denver, CO a son of David L. and Angela R. (Schell) Meschke, 10 weeks early weighing 3 pounds. Already a miracle, Lucas earned his name being born in St. Luke?s Hospital in the Mile High City. Lucas grew up in Baker where he attended grade school and graduated from high school in the class of 2007. While in high school, he participated in many of the extracurricular activities. The highlight of his school years was being crowned Prom King and his senior year football seasonFollowing graduation, Lucas moved to Billings where he attended MSU-Billings, college of Technology. The following year, he returned to Baker, working for C & M Oilfield as a pipe liner and roustabout hand. Lucas returned to Billings where he took a job at Foot Locker. While at Foot Locker, he acquired many kinds of shoes, taking after his mom. In the summer of 2010, he once again came back to Baker where he began working for Continental Resources as a pumper. Lucas was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Baker, where he was confirmed. Lucas enjoyed golfing (most of the time), watching UFC fights, perfecting his X Box skills, working out and running. But his greatest pastime was being with family and friends. In his spare time he liked to watch the San Francisco 49?ers, the LA Lakers and the New York Yankees. Known for giving the best bear hugs ever, Lucas loved and was loved by all who met him, and he would help out anyone in need. He never thought of himself first, always his family and friends. Lucas is survived by his mother, Angela (Tom Rodriguez) Meschke, Baker, MT; his father, David Meschke, Houston, TX; 4 sisters, Whitney Meschke, Billings, MT, Amber (Matt) Paul, Great Falls, MT, Kory (John) Mitchell, Fort Worth, TX and Samantha (Bruce) Clarke, Fallon NV; 3 brothers, Reed Meschke, Billings, MT, Cole Meschke, MSU Billings, MT and Alex Rodriguez, Spring Creek, NV; his maternal grandparents, Clarence and Dolores Schell, Baker, MT; his paternal grandmother, Lorraine Meschke, Baker, MT; paternal great-grandmother, Matilda Steier, Dickinson, ND; his aunts and uncles, Ken (Connie) Schell, Baker, MT, Julie (Steve) Stanhope, Baker, MT, Rick (Kari) Schell, Baker, MT, Alvin (Kim) Meschke, Navasota, TX, Norma (Larry) Losing, Baker, MT, Janice (Dave) Power, Miles City, MT, Brenda (Rod) Kramlick, Baker, MT and Gerard Meschke, Dumas, TX and numerous cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Don Meschke and cousins, Taylor Meschke and Jessica Kramlick.
