Funeral Services for Lucille Brown, 85, of Dickinson will be 10:00 a. m. Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel with Pastor Noel Vold officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery at Killdeer. Visitation will be Monday, December 19, 2005 from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel in Dickinson. Lucille passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2005 at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center in Dickinson, ND. Lucille was born near Grassy Butte, North Dakota the daughter of Ernest and Iva (Boyd) Schroeder. She grew up on the family farm, and attended country grade school 1 ? miles from there. Lucille was married to Ed Brown on January 14, 1961. Together they farmed and ranched with his mother until she moved into Killdeer. Ed and Lucille continued to farm and ranch until ill health forced Ed to retire in 1971, and they moved to Dickinson. Ed passed away on June 3, 1990. Lucille has continued to make her home in Dickinson since. Lucille enjoyed gardening, watching birds and growing flowers. Her faith was very important to her as was the support and companionship of her friends and family. Lucille loved having visitors. In recent years she took special pleasure in visits from her great nephews and niece, Nicholas, Benjamin and Natalie. Survivors include, two sister-in-laws, Esther Schroeder, Grassy Butte and Rose Schroeder, Kalispell, MT. ; numerous nieces and nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ed, three brothers and two sisters.
