Lurana Oldham

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on August 11, 2014 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Hebron, ND. Lurana passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Marian Manor in Glen Ullin, ND. Lurana Oldham was born August 17, 1915, to Harry and Elsie (Fesler) Thole. Lurana grew up and attended school in Santa Maria, CA. After graduating from Santa Maria High School, she later moved to Reno, NV. Lurana married Earl McMillan and they had two children. After Earl passed away, she remained in Reno. During this time she met Arthur C. Oldham, whose spouse had also passed away, leaving him with six children to raise. Lurana and Art were married on November 24, 1968. They moved to Hebron in 1975 where they operated the rendering plant near Eagles Nest for over 25 years. They also helped establish the congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the Hebron area. Lurana spent the last 7 years in the Marion Manner. Her family is very grateful for the care she received there. Lurana cherished time with her family. She especially loved her grandchildren. Lurana is survived by her husband Art; son, Raymond (Christine) McMillan of Moore, OK; daughter, Nancy (David) Dowgialo of Palm Springs, CA; stepsons, Kent (LuAnn) Oldham of Hebron, ND, Mark (Mary) Oldham of Hebron, ND; stepdaughters, Carla Badger of Mandan, ND and Julie Weivoda of Wenatchee, WA; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and brother, Glenn Thole of Mariposa, CA. She is preceded in death by two stepsons, Layne and Judd; one brother, and four sisters.
