Lyle Steckler

Funeral Mass for Lyle Steckler, 46, of Wahpeton, ND formerly of Richardton, will be 10:00 a. m. Thursday, November 30, 2006 at St. Mary?s Catholic Church, Richardton, ND. Burial will be in the St. Mary?s Cemetery at Richardton. Visitation will be 11:00 a. m. ? 4:00 p. m. , Wednesday at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson, 5:00 p. m. ? 9:00 p. m. followed by a rosary at 8:00 p. m. at St. Mary?s Catholic Church. Visitation will continue on Thursday, one hour prior to service at the church. Lyle passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2006 at St. Francis Health Care Center in Breckenridge, MN. Lyle was born on September 21, 1960 to Leonard and Betty (Schatz) Steckler in Richardton, ND. He grew up and attended school in Richardton. Lyle enlisted in the National Guards where he served for the next three years. After returning he moved to Wahpeton, ND were he worked for Wahpeton Tarp and Canvas Co. Lyle was married to Holly and to this union four children were born, Chad, Darcy, Danielle and Cody. Lyle returned to Richardton in 1992 and began working with his father at Modern Wood Craft in Richardton. Lyle returned to Wahpeton and had recently been working as a counselor for a Boys School. He enjoyed being in the outdoors, especially hunting. Survivors include, his four children, Chad, Cody, Darcy and Danielle all of Mandan, ND; a grandchild, Chance; his parents, Leonard and Betty Steckler, Richardton, three sisters, Becky (Jim) Thorpe, Dickinson, Sandra (Paul) Steiner, Dickinson and Bernadette Steckler (special friend, Mark Praus) Lincoln, ND; two brothers, Brian Steckler (special friend, Kathy), Wahpeton, ND and Shayne (Sandy) Steckler, Dickinson; and 20 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Grandpa and Grandma Steckler and Grandpa and Grandma Schatz and numerous uncles and aunts.
