Lynn Steffan

A Funeral Mass for Lynn Steffan, 57, of Dickinson, will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 28, 2012 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, with Father Todd Kreitinger celebrating. Entombment will be in the Dickinson Mausoleum.


Visitation for Lynn will be from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2012 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson, with a Rosary & Vigil service being held at 7:00 p.m.


Lynn passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012 due to an accident at his home.


Lynn Alan Steffan was born January 15, 1955, the son of Laudie L. and Margaret (Pribyl) Steffan. He grew up and attended school in Dickinson, graduating from Dickinson High School in 1973. He went on to attend NDSCS in Wahpeton. After returning to Dickinson, Lynn worked in construction and later started his construction company, L. S. Construction. Along with running his business; Lynn farmed and ranched the home place. Lynn loved hunting and fishing with his buddies and enjoyed all football games. He also loved spending time in his garden but worked even harder planting evergreens around his place, a few more each year.


Lynn is survived by his mother, Margaret of Dickinson; good friend, Bonita Ellis of Dickinson; one brother, Alvin of Arizona; one niece, Jill; one nephew, Eric; and all of Lynn’s friends, who are considered honorary pallbearers.


He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; his father, Laudie; and sister-in-law, Janice (Roller) Steffan.
