Funeral Mass for Magdalena ?Lena? Heiser, 93 of Killdeer will be Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 10:00 a. m. at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church in Killdeer with Father Darnis Selvanayakam and Father Jerry Ruelle, OSB con-celebrating. Burial will follow at Killdeer Cemetery. Visitation will take place Friday, September 10, 2010, from 3:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. at Stevenson Funeral Home, Killdeer with a Vigil Service taking place at 7:00 p. m. Magdalena (Lena) Heiser was called home by the Lord on, September 4, 2010, at St. Joseph?s Hospital in Dickinson. Lena was born on July 26, 1917 in Dickinson, ND. Lena was the daughter of Mary Eva Froehlich, and John Schwindt. On January 22, 1934, Lena married Anton (Tony) Heiser at St. Joseph?s Church in Dickinson. Following their marriage they farmed near Emerson. In 1946 they moved to Manning where they ran a grocery store for four years. Later they moved to Dickinson where Tony worked for Kolling Construction. Their final move was to Killdeer where Tony worked for the Farmers Union Oil Company until his retirement inn 1980. After retirement they continued to make their home in Killdeer. Lena always enjoyed her gardening and her grand children. She was an avid pinochle and whist player. She enjoyed dancing, sewing, and attending church services. She is survived by one son, Ed (Donnalle) Heiser, of Eureka MT; one daughter, Charolotte (David) Klatt, Manning, ND; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; one sister, Ida Schwindt of Dickinson, one brother, Pete Schwindt of Ellensburg, WA. She was proceeded in death by her husband Tony; her parents; two brothers, Ed and Harry Schwindt; four sisters, Tillie Diebel, Eleanor (Lil) Pankratz, Margaret Ziekert, and Celestine Schwindt.
