Marcella Smith

A funeral service for Marcella M. Smith, 77, of Belfield, ND will be 2:00 p. m. , Monday, May 23, 2016 at Stevenson Funeral Home with Pastor Ellery Dykeman officiating. Inurnment will take place in the Wibaux Cemetery, Wibaux, MT. Visitation for Marcella will be from noon to 2:00 p. m. , Monday at the funeral home. Marcella passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at CHI St. Alexius Health Bismarck. She was born April 8, 1939 in St. Cloud, MN and moved with her family to Wibaux as a young girl. Marcella grew up and attended school near Wibaux and spent time at an early age working various jobs including the Palace Café and Hotel. She married Earl Leroy Wymore in Miles City on June 23, 1963. To this union five children were born: Marie Rose, David, Karen, Ron and Carol. Together they raised their family in the Wibaux area. In 1987, Earl passed away. 1990, Marcella married Dale Smith and they made their home at the Windy Hill Ranch south of Belfield. Dale passed away in 2007. Eventually Marcella moved into town at Belfield to make her final home. Over the years, she was a caregiver to many. Marcella loved playing with her grandkids, hunting & fishing, sewing and crocheting, puzzles & crosswords, watching classic western television shows and squirrel & bird watching. She is survived by her daughters, Karen Potter of Belfield and Carol Christ of Bismarck; sons, David Wymore of Spokane, WA and Ron (Tina) Wymore of Clarkston, WA; a brother Pat McDonald of Wisconsin and a sister, Sarah Holland of Alabama; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. Marcella was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Earl Wymore and Dale Smith; an infant daughter, Marie Rose Wymore; and six brothers and sisters.
