A Funeral Service for Margaret “Margie” Bandle, 90, of Killdeer will be Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 10:00 a. m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Killdeer with Pastor John Simonson officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 2:30 p. m. until 3:30 p. m. at Hill Top Home of Comfort in Killdeer and continue one hour prior to the funeral at the church on Wednesday. Margie passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Hill Top Home of Comfort in Killdeer. She was born on January 11, 1925 in Bismarck, ND the daughter of Arthur and Margaret (Olafson) Brandvik. Margie grew up and attended rural school near Killdeer and graduated from Killdeer High School in 1942. She attended one year of Business at Dickinson State University before marrying Walter Bandle in 1946 in Glendive, MT. To this union three children were born: Chris, Russ, and Maureen. For over thirty years she was employed with Farmers Home Administration before retiring in 1986. Over the years, Margie was quite active with St. John’s Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, and Meals on Wheels. On several occasions she represented Dunn Co. at the Silver Haired Legislature in Bismarck. Margie was an advocate for the city of Killdeer while receiving numerous awards for her volunteer service to the community. Margie is survived by her three children: Chris and Russ, both of Killdeer, and Maureen Sather of Bowman; grandchildren: Mike (Patti) Jung, Shawnel (David) Burke, Aric (Mary) Bandle, Alisha (Travis) Thomas, Christine (Daniel) Peterson, Sasha (Jason) Ruggles, and Tyler Bandle; great-granchildren: Devon, Alex, Maury, Carmen, Will, Jeffrey, Taylor, Erica, Taya, Ty, Tajh, Chase, Ashton, Tristen, Peyton, Skylar, Jacob, Gracie and Lily; sister, Wilma Deleissegues of Gonzalez, CA; three sisters-in-law: Mavis Brandvik, Audrey Brandvik, and Nancy Brandvik. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walt; four brothers: Morris, Arthur Jr. , William, and Michael; and brother-in-law, Gene Deleissegues.
