Funeral Mass for Margaret Klemm, 95, of Dickinson will be Monday, September 13, 2004 at 2:00 p. m. at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dickinson with Father Austin Vetter officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph?s Cemetery in Dickinson. Visitation will be Sunday from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p. m. led by the Catholic Daughters. Visitation continue on Monday from 8:00 a. m. until one hour prior to service at the Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel. Margaret passed away Friday, September 10, 2004 at the St. Luke?s Home in Dickinson. She was born on March 20, 1909 the daughter of Wenzel and Helen Wegh Weber on the family farm near New England. She grew up and attended schools northeast of New England. As a young woman she worked at the St. Joseph Hospital as a nurses aid. Margaret was married to John Klemm Jr. on Nov. 12, 1929 at the St. Mary?s Catholic Church in New England. Together they farmed ten miles southeast of Dickinson until 1938 when they moved to a farm two miles east of Dickinson. In 1939 they moved into Dickinson where they opened John?s Shoe Shop which they operated until 1968 when John passed away. Margaret worked for Baker Boy when it was located downtown. A tradition kept alive by her German ancestry is a type of lace or netting work known as Netza Nadeln. She made many pillow coverings, dollies, and table covers. Her favorite designs were ones with children and roses. One of her table covers is on display at the State Historical Society of North Dakota. She was a member of the German Hungarian Club, Catholic Daughters of America and the St. Patrick?s Catholic Church of Dickinson. Survivors include, a brother, Carl Weber of Burien, WA; two sister-in-laws: Katherine Klemm, Dickinson and Laura Klemm, Spearfish, SD; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Sebastian, Thomas and Pete.
