A Funeral Mass for Margaret Anton Krenz, 80, of New England, will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 8, 2012 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Todd Kreitinger celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery in Dickinson.
Visitation for Margaret will be 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, September 7, 2012 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson with a Rosary and Vigil service being held at 7:00 p.m.
Margaret passed away Friday, August 31, 2012 at Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND.
Margaret Kostelecky was born June 13, 1932, the daughter of Joseph and Agnes (Hondl) Kostelecky. She was raised on a farm south of Dickinson and attended country school for one year before attending St. Joseph’s School in Dickinson through the sixth grade. On January 8, 1951 she was married to John Anton. She later married Robert Krenz on November 17, 1989. Margaret lived in New England until recently, when she became a resident of St. Benedict’s Health Care Center in Dickinson. Margaret was a wife, mother, grandmother and a great-grandmother. Margaret kept busy with various jobs, working at Winky’s Ice Cream Shop, Lee’s Truck Stop, Dickinson Motels, St. Benedict’s Nursing Home, Lariat Cafe, and the Country Kitchen. She was a wonderful baker, making long johns, rolls and pies. She enjoyed cooking, baking and sewing for her family. Margaret also made quilts for her children and grandchildren. In her pastime, she liked to read, listen to polka, waltz and country western music and vacation with her family.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Robert Krenz of New England; nine children, Darlene (David) Jilek of Dickinson and their children, Tyler (Jasmine) Jilek and Kayla Jilek of Dickinson; LaVerne (Jerald) Koppinger of Dickinson and their children, Joshua of Dickinson, Melissa of Bismarck and Bobbie (Brice) Fischer of Prior Lake, MN and their children, Karsten and Micaiah; Jeff Anton of Dickinson; Larry (Belinda Draper) Anton of Killdeer; Thomas (Tina) Draper of Fargo, Robert (Mandi) Draper and their son, Alexander of Coventon, KY; James (Betty) Anton of Dickinson and their children, Travis (Amy) Anton and their sons, Brayden and Jaxon, and Ashley (fiancee’, Jade Foss) of Dickinson; John Anton of Dickinson and his children, Carla and Eric Cook of Dickinson; Wendy Anton of Dickinson; David Anton of Dickinson; and Scott (Dawn) Anton and their daughter Brooke of Dickinson; one brother, Edmund (Lena) Kostelecky of Missoula, MT; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Anton; two brothers, Laudie and Ben Kostelecky; her parents, Agnes and Joseph Kostelecky; grandson, Dustin Anton and sister-in-law, Gladys Kostelecky.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
