Margaret Steffan

A Funeral service for Margaret Steffan, 93, of Dickinson, will be Friday, March 25, 2016 at 2:00 p. m. at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson. Burial will take place in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Visitation for Margaret will be one hour prior to the service at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson. Margaret passed away on Wednesday evening, March 23, 2016 at her home in Dickinson. Margaret was born July 22, 1922 in Dickinson, the daughter of Wencel and Antonia (Dvorak) Pribyl. She was a single child and growing up she attended school in Dickinson and graduated from Model High in 1940. She also attended Dickinson State Teachers College. In December 1941, Margaret married Laudie Steffan in Dickinson. They were blessed with two sons, Lynn and Alvin. Margaret worked as a bookkeeper for Stockman’s Livestock and the Dickinson Press. She especially loved visits from the family and her friends. Margaret is survived by her son, Alvin Steffan of Arizona, and her two grandchildren, Eric Steffan and Jill (Jacob) Bollinger. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wencel and Antonia; husband, Laudie; son, Lynn Steffan; and daughter-in-law, Janice (Roller) Steffan.
