The Funeral Liturgy for Margaret (“Margie”) Siggaard Stringer will be held at 10:00 AM (CDT) Thursday, June 5. Father Raymond Aydt will celebrate the liturgy at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Grenora, North Dakota. Interment will be in Volmer Cemetery, Dagmar, Montana. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday at the Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson, North Dakota; with a gathering of family and friends at 7:00 PM (MDT) Wednesday, June 4, at Fulkerson’s in Plentywood. Margie died Thursday afternoon at St. Luke’s Home in Dickinson; seven days after her 80th birthday. Margaret (Margie), the daughter of Joseph and Margaret Mary(Brietbach) Kueffler, was born on May 22, 1928 at the family farm south of Grenora, North Dakota in “Good Luck Township”. She grew up there and went to school in that area. On June 4, 1947 Margie married Peder S. Siggaard in Grenora, North Dakota. They made their home in Ray, North Dakota for a number of years and later moved to their family farm outside of Dagmar, Montana. Margie enjoyed being a farm wife, helping with fieldwork, doing various crafts, woodworking, gardening, fishing and having many different pets. She also liked watching Western movies and reading. Her husband Peder died October 22, 1984. On September 18, 1987 Margie married Norman Stringer in Culbertson, Montana. They made their home in Medicine Lake and they took lots of short trips to see different sites and family members. Margie was a member of the Moose Lodge in Medicine Lake and the Women’s Auxiliary. She participated as a Senior Regent in the Moose Lodge for two terms. Norman died on December 13, 1996. In 1997 she moved to Gladstone, North Dakota to be closer to two of her daughters and to retire. There she enjoyed playing cards with other senior citizens and driving her golf cart around town and visiting people. Margie is survived by one brother Joe Kueffler of Great Falls, Montana and her five children, three daughters Marilyn (Bob) Goff of Windsor, Virginia; Judy (John) Prim of Schaumburg, Illinois and Karen(Jay) Terrill of Gladstone, North Dakota; two sons Earl Siggaard of Sidney, Montana and Jim (Denise) Siggaard of Kimberly, Idaho and eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Five brothers, six sisters and her two husbands preceded her in death. Fulkerson Funeral Home of Plentywood and Stevenson Funeral Home of Dickinson have charge of arrangements.
