Maria Hurich, 95, of Dickinson, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at her home in Dickinson.


In accordance with Maria’s wishes, private family services will take place.


Maria Hurich, 95, of Dickinson, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at her home in Dickinson. In accordance with Maria’s wishes, private family services will take place.


Maria, a daughter of Walerian Minciel and Anna Zdanowicz, was born on June 22, 1922 in Zaborze, Poland. She had five sisters, Alima, Ewa, Jadzia, Jania, and Wanda; and three brothers, Jan, Josek, and Czeslaw.


Maria married Bruneslaw Nowik and they became prisoners of World War II in Germany. After the war, they immigrated to Dickinson, ND.


Maria and Clifford Hurich were married later in life and farmed in the Manning area until retirement. Clifford passed away on December 31, 2002.


Maria is survived by two daughters, Irene Frenzel, and Hattie DeJonghe; and one granddaughter, Kristina Frenzel. She was preceded in death by one son, Michael Nowik.
