Marian Erhardt

Funeral Mass for Marian Erhardt, 92, of Glen Ullin, ND, will be 10:00 a. m. CDT, Friday, August 6, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glen Ullin with Father Arul Joseph celebrating. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph?s Catholic Cemetery south of Glen Ullin. Visitation will be Thursday, August 5, 2010, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glen Ullin from 5:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. CDT with a Rosary and Vigil Service led by the St. Joseph?s Christian Mothers at 7:00 p. m. CDT. Marian passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010, at Marian Manor Nursing Home in Glen Ullin. Marian Erhardt was born April 30, 1918, to Nicodemus and Barbara (Helbling) Doll on the family farm near the St. Joseph?s area south of Glen Ullin. She grew up and attended country school. After school, she continued to work on the farm. On October 15, 1940, she married John V. Erhardt at the St. Joseph?s Catholic Church. The couple made their home on the Erhardt family farm, and it was here where they raised their seven children. Marian and John retired to Glen Ullin in 1979, and Marian has made her home there for the last thirty years. Marian enjoyed crocheting, gardening, collecting dolls, painting, and doing arts and crafts projects. Marian?s greatest love was her family. She was a member of the St. Joseph?s Christian Mothers. Marian is survived by two sons, James (Linda) Erhardt, Almont, ND, and Ervin Erhardt, Loon Lake, WA; five daughters, Diane Kohler, Janice Cooper, Arlyne Weinhardt, Melinda Wehri, and Mary (Brian) Sibla, all of Glen Ullin, ND; 19 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents; her grandson, Jacob; two son-in-laws, Kenneth Weinhardt and Alan Cooper; and 14 siblings, three of whom died in infancy.
