Funeral Mass for Marie M. Flink, 78, of Dickinson, ND will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 8, 2013 at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Gladstone, ND with Father Boniface Muggli OSB, celebrating. Burial will be in the St. Thomas Cemetery, Gladstone.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Stevenson Funeral Home with Rosary and Vigil service taking place at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 at the church.
Marie passed away Monday, November 4, 2013 at St. Luke’s Home, Dickinson.
Marie M. Wehner was born October 3, 1935 in Dickinson, ND to John and Mary (Krug) Wehner. She attended Gladstone school and graduated from Gladstone High School in 1954. Marie married Norman Flink in 1955. She later moved to Montana for a number of years before moving back to the Dickinson area. In later years, Marie lived in Villard Terrace where she enjoyed playing cards, bingo, pinochle and crazy rummy. She was an accomplished guitar player and composed many of her own songs. Marie always had a large garden and she enjoyed making homemade strudel and other ethnic treats. She also truly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Marie was a member of the Gladstone Senior Citizens and St. Thomas Catholic Church.
Marie is survived by her children, Randy (Mynden) Flink, Denver, CO, Tina Flink, Killdeer, ND, Russ Flink, Box Elder, SD and Pam (Pat) Praus, Lefor, ND; 8 grandchildren, Travis, Alicia, Dillon, and Gracie Praus, Wyatt Flink, Brittany Schollmeyer, Tate and Madison Flink; brothers, Earl (Winifred) Wehner, Dickinson, ND, sisters, Katheryn (Joe) Baar, Dickinson, ND, Evelyn (Al) Murry, Camton, CT; and Agnes Wolfe, Gilbert, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister, and one grandson, Dalton Praus.
