Funeral Mass for Marie Kubischta, 62 of Dickinson, formerly of Killdeer will be on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at 10:00 a. m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dickinson with Father Jim Braaten, celebrating. Burial will follow in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery in Dickinson, ND. Marie passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at Hill Top Home of Comfort in Killdeer, ND. Marie Sophie Kubischta was born November 20, 1941 to Joseph F. and Victoria (Sykora) Kubischta. For a short time she went to Ash Coulee and St. Patrick?s Schools. In 1956, she went to Grafton, ND for five years. In 1961, she moved back home where she lived with her parents for 27 years. In 1988, she went to Country Oaks ? a group home in Dickinson. She worked at Able and did some cleaning for Army?s West and Herbergers for a short time. From County Oaks, Marie went to a Foster home to live with Luanne and Clarence Knudson in Dunn Center, ND. She loved it there very much. She enjoyed traveling with the group to Yellowstone, Montana, South Dakota, Denver, Colorado, Recreation at Richardton, and many other places. When her health was failing, she was moved to Hill Top Home of Comfort in Killdeer where she lived for the last four years. Marie loved to dance, bowl, work on her scrapbook and braid rugs. She is survived by three brothers: William (Beatrice) Kubischta of Manning, ND, George (Dolores) Kubischta, and James (Margaret) Kubischta both of Dickinson, ND; one sister: Dorothy Ficek of Dickinson, ND; and 27 nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ludwig Kubischta, a brother-in-law, Otto Ficek; and two sisters-in-law: Martha and Eva Kubischta. Memorials can be made to Hill Top Home of Comfort, 95 Hill Top Drive, Killdeer, ND 58640.
