Mass of Christian Burial for Marion (Tkach) Bingert, 101, of Dickinson, formerly of Hebron/Glen Ullin will be 10:00 a.m. CST, Saturday, January 19, 2013 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Hebron, ND with Father Jeff Zwack celebrating. Burial will follow at the St. Peter & Paul Cemetery, rural Hebron.


Visitation for Marion will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. CST, Friday, January 18, 2013 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with a rosary service being held at 5:00 p.m. CST. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the Mass of Saturday.


Marion went to heaven Monday, January 14, 2013 at Richardton Health Center, Richardton, ND.


Marion was born December 9, 1911 near Dickinson, ND and grew up near Antelope, ND. She was the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Roether) Loran. Marion married Peter Tkach on October 26, 1931 in Richardton, ND. They lived and farmed south of Hebron/Glen Ullin until Peter died February 26, 1976. Marion moved into Hebron shortly after Peter’s death. She married Francis Bingert on June 18, 1988. Francis died September 4, 1999. Marion moved to Evergreen in Dickinson, ND in 2006. Marion was a devout member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Hebron, ND, and also a member of St. Ann’s Christian Mothers. She loved to go fishing, and in her younger years, horseback riding. She was an excellent cook and loved to bake delicious pies, rolls, strudel and other German and Czechoslovakian dishes. She also sewed and quilted.


Marion is survived by her six children: Susan (Ray) Ficek, Dickinson, and children, Wanda, Wade, Guy, Brian, Lee, Gail, Brenda and Lisa; Gerald (Joanne) Tkach, Dickinson, and children, Julie, Jackie, Jim, Jon and Jeremy; Donald (Betty) Tkach, Williston, and children, Wayne, Sandra and Perry; Sharon (Ben) Bertsch, New Leipzig, and children, Jay and Paul; Sheila (Jerome) Koehler, Glen Ullin, and children, Jesse, Sarah, Stephanie and Samantha; Timothy (Brenda) Tkach, Hebron; two stepchildren, Frances Schuetz, Kansas City, MI and children Molly, Katrina, Emily, and Nickolas; and Catherine Bingert, Denver, CO; 25 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, 6 step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.


She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Peter; seven sisters; three brothers; and husband, Francis.
