She majored in Physical Education with minors in English and Social Studies. She also had many post graduate studies at various North Dakota universities. She married Roger V. Anderson in Reeder, ND on September 29, 1956. They moved to the family farm three miles east of Reeder while also attending college in Dickinson. She started her teaching career in 1959 at Lake Park, MN while Roger was attending NDSU in Fargo. After she retired from teaching, she moved to Dickinson where she became an avid golfer. This also allowed her to be closer to family. She was involved in numerous community activities. In college at Dickinson State University, she was a member and officer of Alpha Sigma Alpha Honor Society, president of her junior class, and member and officer of Student Council. At her church, she was a Sunday school teacher and member of church council and Ladies? Aide. As a teacher, she was a founder and counselor of the Girls? Marjorie is remembered most for her zest for life, her love of family and friends, her dedication to teaching students, and her love of playing golf.
