Mark Plunkett

A Funeral service for Mark Plunkett, 51, of Hettinger, will be 2:00 p. m. , Monday, January 28, 2013 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson. Burial will be at a later date in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.


Visitation for Mark will be Monday, before the service, from 11:00 a. m. to 2:00 p. m. at Stevenson Funeral Home.


Mark passed away Monday, January 21, 2013 at West Horizons Care Center in Hettinger, ND.


Mark Plunkett was born October 4, 1961, in Bismarck, ND, the son of Gerald and Clara (Schafer) Plunkett. He grew up and attended school in Mandan and Flasher. Mark attended the Job Corp Program, receiving his culinary degree in Nemo, SD. He then moved to Casper where he opened and operated a restaurant. In 2007, he moved to Dickinson where he has made his home since. Due to failing health, Mark moved into West Horizon Care Center in Hettinger. He enjoyed puzzle books, color posters and making key chains and bracelets. He also enjoyed listening to music of all kinds.


Mark is survived by his son, Trenton Plunkett of OK; sisters, Melody Elis of Dickinson, Colleen (Mark) Martin of Orlando, FL, Faye (Roy) Jenkins of Dickinson, Valarie (Jeff) Nelson of Spearfish, SD; brothers, Gerald F. (Carol) Plunkett Jr. of WA and Todd (Christina) Plunkett of Casper, WY; special friend, Rhonda Corbert of Hettinger; special niece, Heidi (Russel) Jenkins of Dickinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents.
