Marlene Bechhold

Marlene Bechhold, age 68, of Glen Ullin, died Friday, November 24, 2006, at the Marian Manor Health Care Center in Glen Ullin after a brave battle with cancer. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Central time on Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glen Ullin. Visitation will start on Monday after 4:00 PM at the Church with Vigil services at 7:00 PM. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Marlene was born September 13, 1938 in Grant County, a daughter of John and Veronica (Barth) Emter. She lived in the Glen Ullin area most of her life. She married Gerald Bechhold April 1, 1959. She helped farm, did daycare, and worked in the nursing home. The past year she lived in Mandan. Marlene had a great love of music, and enjoyed playing the accordion. Some of her hobbies were playing cards, bingo, bonco, and enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. She was an excellent cook and baker. Marlene is survived by her son Robert Bechhold, Bismarck; and daughter Chris Bechhold, of Mandan, her brother Ervin (Marge) Emter, Glen Ullin, ND; and sister Adeline (Joe) Thomas, Bismarck, ND; her mother-in-law: Frances Bechhold, sister-in-law: Jean Bechhold and brother-in-law: Jim Bechhold all of Glen Ullin, and her special family: Dale, Hollie, Kevin, Kayla, and Mitchell Emter, all of Glen Ullin, and many more relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and brother Teddy.
