Martha’s Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 20th, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Killdeer, ND with Fr. Joseph Evinger presiding. Internment will follow at the St. Wenceslaus Cemetery in Dickinson, ND. Visitation will be on Friday, February 19th, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with Rosary at 6 p.m. at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson, ND.
Martha (Binstock) Dvorak joined her eternal family on Monday February 8th, 2021 in Killdeer, ND with her family by her side. She was 87 years old.
Martha was born May 8th 1933 at home to John J. Jr. and Pauline (Simek) Binstock near New Hradec, ND in Dunn County. She was one of 6 children. Martha was raised on the farm and helped her family with housekeeping, farming and chores. She attended Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church/ School through the 8th grade and was taught by the Sisters. Her Mother passed away when Martha was 26 on August 10th, 1956 and her father than married Josephine (Jedlicha - Kovash) Binstock on September 25th 1957.
Martha married Laudie L. Dvorak on October 30, 1951 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Hradec, ND. They started farming and ranching in 1952 southeast of Manning, ND and continued for 31 years. Raising registered Herford Cattle, many chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys as well as all the crops and hay. The couple was blessed with 4 children Richard, Doreen, Arlene and Bob. Martha was a wonderful cook and baker for her family, her food was enjoyed by many that came to visit on Sundays or for the annual bull sales that were held at the ranch. She also planted beautiful a garden and many flowerbeds. Martha enjoyed playing cards with family and neighbors. She loved any time she spent with her family as these are cherished moments for all. Martha has 13 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great Grandchildren and 1 due in the fall of 2021. Her beautiful smile and a youthful laugh will forever be in our hearts.
Martha and Laudie L. bought a house and moved to Dunn Center, ND in 1983. They soon bought and operated a grocery store, then the Dvorak Civic Center and the Star Bar. Martha also stayed active working at the thrift store in Dunn Center, ND for many years and traveling with her Red Hat friends. She continued to live in Dunn Center, ND after the passing of her husband on May 16th, 2004. In 2010 she moved to Doreen and Albert F. Jr Pachl’s Ranch, then to Evergreen in Dickinson, ND. In 2017 she then moved to Hill Top Home of Comfort in Killdeer, ND. Her hobbies were her flowers, gardening, completing word searches, playing pinnacle, BINGO and listening to polkas and waltz. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and an Honorary member of the Eagles Club.
