Martha Fischer

Funeral services for Martha A. Fischer, 91, Killdeer will be 10 a. m. on Saturday, January 12, 2008, at St. John?s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Killdeer with the Rev. Steven Schou, officiating. Interment will be in the Oakdale Cemetery, rural Killdeer. Visitation will be 4 p. m. to 9 p. m. on Friday, January 11, 2008, at Stevenson Funeral Home, Killdeer. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Martha A. Fischer passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2008, at Hilltop Home of Comfort, Killdeer. Martha A. Dahl was born on March 4, 1916, in Whetstone, ND to Tom and Inga (Vold) Dahl. She attended grade school in Whetstone to the 8th grade. On October 2, 1947, she married Frank ?Dutch? Fischer in Dickinson, ND. Together they farmed north of Killdeer from 1947 until their retirement in 1974. Dutch passed away on February 20, 1989. Martha continued to live in Killdeer and recently resided at Hilltop Home of Comfort, Killdeer. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and St. John?s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Killdeer. Martha enjoyed doing word find puzzles, gardening, bird watching and being with her children and grandchildren. Martha is survived by: her children, Edward (Betty) Fischer, Devils Lake, ND, Tom (Diane) Fischer, Billings, Tim (Fayleen) Fischer, Killdeer and Ginger (Dan) Wessels, Rapid City, SD; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, Joe, Lloyd, Obert and Melvin Dahl and one sister Josephine Dahl in childhood
