Martha Gregory, 94, Dickinson, formerly of Belfield, died Sunday, February 15, 2004, at St. Luke?s Home, Dickinson. Funeral services will be 10 a. m. Thursday, February 19, 2004, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Belfield, with the Reverend Harry Theiss, officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Belfield Cemetery, Belfield. Visitation will be 3 p. m. to 5 p. m. Wednesday at Price-Murphy Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Thursday at the church one hour prior to the service. Martha Fuge was born on May 16, 1909 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to August and Matilda (Schubbe) Fuge. The family later homesteaded on Government Creek, north of Fryburg. She attended country school and then Dickinson Normal School and received her Teaching Certificate. Martha taught country school until her marriage to John J. Gregory on November 14, 1939. They lived in the Belfield area where John was a mechanic for John Deere Company of Beach and Belfield. John died on October 1, 1989. Martha entered St. Luke?s Home in late 2003. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening. She will always be remembered by those who received one of her handmade patchwork baby quilts. Martha is survived by: one daughter, Pattie (Dwayne) Gould, Mills, Wyo. ; one son, Larry (Linda) Gregory, Dickinson; six grandchildren, Shelly (Mev) Schaff, Randy (Terry) Hlibichuk, Jon (Nicole) Hlibichuk, Jason Gregory, Jessie Gregory, Luke Gregory and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents, husband and only sister, Lola Lindbo.
