Martha Hondl

Martha Hondl, 69, Dickinson, died Saturday, July 19, 2003, at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center, Dickinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a. m. Wednesday, July 23, 2003, at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Reverend Jerry Kautzman, celebrating. Interment will be in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. at Price-Murphy Funeral Home with a rosary being said at 7 p. m. by George Keller. Martha Bren was born April 5, 1934, in Dunn County to Pete and Agnes (Veverka) Bren. She married Albert J. E. Hondl on November 7, 1955, at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church. Martha worked at various motels and the Comfort Inn for 16 years. She loved to garden and cherished her grandchildren. Martha enjoyed the simple things in life. A cup of coffee with her friends and a chance to share a story about her grandchildren was her idea of a perfect day. Many will miss her gentle heart. We can only hope she felt the same love she so generously gave to us all. As far as being a mother, she taught us lessons she did not even realize she was teaching, but that was her way, simple genuine and uncomplicated. For all these treasures she gave us, we love you forever, we love you for always. Forever and ever our mommy you?ll be. Martha Hondl is survived by: one daughter, Joyce (Richard) Schweiger, Dickinson; one son; Larry, Grand Forks; four grandchildren, Steven, Nicholas and Corinna Schweiger, Dickinson and Atlanta Hondl, Grand Forks and one sister, Mary Klein, Dickinson. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Albert; parents; four brothers and three sisters.
