Martha Huber

Martha passed away Thursday, September 23, 2010 at the Marion Manor, Glen Ullin. Martha Huber was born April 14, 1921, one of 15 children, to Philip and Christina (Flemmer) Hausauer on the family farm in Mercer country. She grew up and attended the local country grade school until she was needed at home to help care for her younger siblings. Martha also helped with household chores on some of the neighbouring farms as well. On February 1, 1942, Martha married Daniel Huber at Zap, ND. The couple worked on the family farm for several years before moving to Hebron in 1949. It was here where Martha and Daniel raised their two daughters, Alice and Betty. They called Hebron home for the remainder of their lives. In recent years, Martha lived at the Marion Manor in Glen Ullin. Martha enjoyed gardening, cooking, playing cards and Bingo. She was very fond of quilting and had many beautiful quilts to show for it. She was a member of St. John?s Church, the ladies Guild, and the Hebron Senior Citizen Center. She is survived by her daughters, Alice (Jacob) Schmalenberger, Hebron, ND; Betty (Dale) Walth, Kandiyohi, MN; brothers, Dave Hausauer, Beulah, ND; Alex (Irene) Hausauer, Hebron; Gary (Betty) Hausauer and Dale (Nancy) Hausauer, both of Beulah; sisters, Ida Voegele, Pauline Frank, Viola Martin, Elsie (Wilbert) Opp, Ella Fandrich all of Beulah; Linda (Tom) Dallman, Zap, ND; grandchildren, Todd (Sara) Schmalenberger, Catherine (Tom) McDaniel, Francine (Paul) Haman, Tracy (Bryan) Good, Shawn Walth, Melissa (Ben) Fossey; great-grandchildren, A. J. , LeAnn, Jerad, Justin, Frankie, Charlie, Rowan, Addison; great-great-grandchildren, Jeffery and Amie; sisters-in-law, Ruth, Wilma, Anne and Betty Hausauer. Preceded by husband, Daniel; both parents, granddaughter, Stephanie; brothers, Carl, Reiny, Herbert, and Fred Hausauer; brothers-in-law, Alex Voegele, Edwin Frank, Otto Martin, Willie Fandrich, Clemens Flemmer; sister-in-law, Annie Hausauer.
