A Funeral Mass for Martha Jahner, 97, of Dickinson, will be 12:00 noon, Saturday, February 1, 2014 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dickinson with Msgr. Patrick Schumacher celebrating. Burial will follow in St. Pius Cemetery in Schefield. Visitation for Martha will be 1:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. , Friday, January 31st at Stevenson Funeral Home with a Rosary and Vigil service being held at 7:00 p. m. Martha passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at St. Luke’s Home in Dickinson. Martha was born on January 9, 1917 in Stark County, the daughter of Joseph and Regina (Roller) Binstock. She attended school at St. Pius School in Schefield. On June 10, 1936, Martha was united in marriage to Kasper Jahner at St. Pius Catholic Church, Schefield. The couple farmed for 32 years and they were blessed with eight children. In 1968, Martha and Kasper moved to Regent, later moving to their Oak Manor home in Dickinson in 1997. Martha loved to raise a garden and flowers. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, playing cards and she especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Martha spent time at St. Ben’s, Evergreen and most recently, St. Luke’s Home in Dickinson. She was a member of St. Henry’s Guild of Regent, St. Pius Verein of Schefield and St. Ann’s of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. Martha is survived by her sons, Tony (Donna) and Tom (Shag) of Dickinson; daughters, Vangie (Wayne) Link of Bismarck, Isabell Kudrna of Billings, MT, and Marcella (Ed) Kautzman of Dickinson, Lorraine (Lyle) Dutton of Denver, CO, Kathleen Fletcher of Centennial, CO, Bernice (Mike) Cherney of Hazen; 31 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Albina; brother-in-law, Martin Decker; sister-in-law, Ethel Binstock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kasper; son, Joseph; son-in-law, Leroy Kudrna; two grandchildren; parents, Joseph and Regina Binstock; four sisters and four brothers.
