Funeral Mass for Martha C. Karsky, 79, of Dickinson will be 10:00 AM, Monday, August 18, 2008 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dickinson with Father Jim Braaten celebrating. Burial will follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in New Hradec. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM Sunday, August 17, 2008 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson with Rosary and Vigil services beginning at 7:00 PM. Martha passed away Friday, August 15, 2008 at St. Benedict?s Health Center in Dickinson. Martha C. Karsky was born on April 16, 1929 the daughter of Anton J. and Anna (Kudrna) Karsky on the family farm North of New Hradec. She attended grade school at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School. Martha lived with her parents on their farm and later moved to New Hradec. In 1951 she moved to Dickinson with her parents and in 1981 she moved to St. Benedict?s Health Center. Martha loved spending her time on the farm helping in the kitchen and going for walks through the fields. Martha was very active during her years at St. Benedict?s. She volunteered in many different areas. She helped in the kitchen, dining room and with laundry. She participated and loved going to Mass. She also did many different kinds of crafts and loved to dance!Martha always had a smile for her visitors. She loved her family and was especially proud of her many nieces and nephews. Survivors include her sisters: Gertrude Buresh, Bertha Bren, Mary Kolling, Georgia Schmaltz and Clara (Reuben) Munsch, all of Dickinson; brothers: Anthony C. (Arlene) Karsky, Jamestown and Dennis (Arlene) Karsky, Oaklawn, IL; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Anton and Anna Karsky, two infant brothers: Johnny and Otto; and four brothers-in-law: Tony, Albert, Joe and Martin.
