Martha Paasch, 83, Belfield, died Thursday, January 11, 2007, at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center, Dickinson. Memorial services will be at 2 p. m. , Saturday, January 13, 2007 at The Roosevelt Memorial Lodge, Belfield, with Deb Howie officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the lodge. Martha Porter was born on October 10, 1923, in Billings County to Charles and Lulu (Anderson) Cornell. She grew up on Tepee Bottom Ranch south of Medora. Martha attended Vanvig Country School and two years of High School in Medora. She married Willard Porter on May 10, 1945 in Wibaux. He later passed away on June 3, 1981. Martha later married Ray Paasch in 1982, they lived on his ranch until 1997, when they retired and moved to Belfield. Ray passed away in 2003. Martha was a hard worker, loved to garden and was know for her plants and flowers. She was a great cook, baker and an optimist with her saying of ?It could be Worse:? Martha is survived by: her son, Dennis (Kathy) Porter, New Salem; one daughter, Kathaleen (Carter) Kleinsasser, Carrington; grandchildren, Cole (Chenoa) Porter, Leslie (Darin) Schill, Sheri (Stuart) Stockmoe and Jim (Christa) Kleinsasser; great grandchildren, JoRae, Jaelynn Schill and Seely Stockmoe; one brother, Bill Cornell, Wash. ; one sister, Mary Jones, TX
