A Funeral Mass for Martha Wagner, 93, of Dickinson will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 25, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dickinson with Father Keith Streifel celebrating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Visitation for Martha will be 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson with a rosary and vigil service being held at 7:00 p.m.
Martha passed away Monday, May 21, 2018 at St. Benedict’s Health Center in Dickinson.
Martha Hibl was born October 13, 1924, near New Hradec, the daughter of Joseph Hibl and Mary (Kudrna) Hibl. She grew up and attended New Hradec School through the eighth grade. On May 22, 1944, Martha was united in marriage to Edward J. Wagner at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dickinson. To this union, three children, Shirley, James and Brenda were born. Martha worked as a waitress for the Elks Club in Dickinson for 25 years. She enjoyed seamstress work, gardening, flowers, crafts, crocheting, cooking, baking and canning.
Martha was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, St. Ann’s Auxiliary, VFW, Sunset Senior Center and AARP.
Martha is survived by her daughters, Shirley Binstock of Dickinson and Brenda (Mike) Stockert of Laurel, MT; grandchildren, Brian (Kathleen) Binstock of Temecula CA, Lori (Gary) Steffan of Dickinson, Kevin Binstock of Dickinson, James Stockert of Laurel MT; great-grandchildren, Briana, Alec, Cole, Elijah; sister, Dorothy Kostelecky of Dickinson; sister-in-law MaryAnn Hibl of Boulder, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Hibl; husband, Edward; son, James Wagner; son-in-law, Timothy Binstock; brothers, George, Robert, Joseph Hibl; sisters, Mildred Kostelecky, Ann Dohrmann; sister-in-law, Agnes Hibl; and brothers-in-law, Edwin A. Kostelecky, Laudie S. Kostelecky, and Wilmer Dohrmann.
